The cost of dying
Many Americans are "dying badly," says Dr. Ira Byock, director of palliative medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Byock and Elliot Fisher of The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice will be featured on CBS-TV's "60 Minutes" program this week, talking with reporter Steve Kroft about the cost of dying in America. "60 Minutes" airs at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
